Located just a few minutes away from Auburn station, this restaurant puts all the other restaurants to shame. That is if you fancy lebanese food and keep a strong hold on your wallet. Though the interior decor of the restaurant may raise a few eyebrows, it is quickly made up for by the friendly staff and the delicious fragrance that helps you to settle in.
We almost waited 35 minutes for our meal to arrive and being pretty ravenous, it was pretty annoying. Once the food started arriving, we were wide-eyed at the quantity of the food. It was a lot.
Being nice and crisp, it was also accompanied by tahini sauce which only made it more delicious. Kudos to the chef or falafel maker!
was still nonetheless, decent. There is really nothing to rave
about at this point.
Four pieces of chicken kofta were accompanied with bread.
The third course of the meal were grilled lamb pieces. This was nothing but exceptional as the lamb was done the way it was supposed to be.
The dip provided was babaganouj which went went excellent with the grilled lamb and bread. The tabouli was beatifully done and presented.
We've also received complimentary black tea. And we were able to have as many as we wanted. My friend had about 4 cups. Yes they were that good!
The restaurant was excellent, perfect for large groups of people if your hand is constantly fishing for notes in your wallet, or credit card for that matter. However, if you don't mind paying a little over the average price, then there are other restaurants of similar category to be found. Halalicious or Impress is a good example. Still, the price shouldn't let you down. If you're a sucker for falafels, then you might want to consider visiting the place. It will not disappoint.
